The Bordsteinlobby e.V. was founded in Chemnitz in 2018 and is a non-profit association for culture, networking and participation. It was born out of the idea to contribute to the visibility of the many cultural and participatory places in the immediate neighborhoods. One result is the STAUNT - Festival, which in 2020 for the first time, decentralized wandered through the neighborhoods Brühl, Kaßberg, Sonnenberg and Zentrum and invited people on a discovery tour through the urban area. With 23 events and in cooperation with about 40 partners from the Chemnitz cultural and interactive scene, it offered a wide range of activities that invited all generations to participate, listen, exchange, feel, move, think and take part. On September 5, a lampion upcycling workshop with Donna Quijote took place in the Kulturhaus Arthur, followed by a parade along the Kaßberg wall decorated with the self-made luminous objects with artistic and musical background and finally ended at the "Distance Sitzdance" in the aaltra beer garden.
